The Center for Computational Biology, UCLA School of Medicine, offers a program for funded visiting investigators to utilize the Center’s resources to investigate such research areas as PET, conventional and advanced MRI techniques, fMRI, SPECT, cryomacrotome sectioning of the human and non-human primate, invasive mapping techniques such as optical intrinsic imaging and intraoperative electrophysiological mapping of human subjects and animal models.
For basic scientists, a PhD or equivalent degree in a basic field of neuroscience including: neurochemistry, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, neuropsychology, computer science or mathematical modeling is preferred.
For MD’s, board eligibility in neurology, neurosurgery, radiology or psychiatry are preferred.
All investigators must have an active source of funding.
